Application Requirements for Badcock Scholarship
Are you ready for the financial boost hat a Badcock scholarship can provide? If so, make sure you meet these two pieces of criteria first and foremost:
To become eligible for the scholarship you will need to be enrolled in an accredited college or university, approved by Badcock.
Build your Essay:
You will need to be able to write and submit your essay, doing so on a topic that we approve. Our scholarship program will have more information on approved topics.
Getting started is easy! All you need to do is write an essay on the approved topic, which will be provided to you by our program, though while many entries will be received, there can only be a single winner. If you don’t make it this year, there’s always next year! If you do happen to win you will not only receive the money, but also exposure as your essay is published on our website. It’s perfect for resume material!
Scholarship Competition Criteria
Once you write your blog entry or essay you will need to submit it, understanding that the following criteria needs to be met:
Length of Essay
Your entry will need to meet the length criteria which is now at 600 words or greater. Shorter entries will not be considered.
Your essay entry needs to be properly formatted with a title, body, and conclusion to be considered for entry into the scholarship contest.
Send your Essay
Once the essay is finished you can submit it via e-mail to the address we provide.
Be sure you submit your essay with your name, email address, phone number and transcripts.
Once you know that you stand in compliance with the above requirements, you will need to make sure that you are enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours undergraduate studies or 3 hours of graduate courses. You will also need to have a declared major in addition to meeting other requirements. It is standard for us to require our students to be involved in one extracurricular activity with their school, but this requirement can be circumvented if the student is already involved with the surrounding community.
Further Scholarship Requirements
The items above are important, but to fully qualify make sure you meet these base criteria:
• 18+ Years of Age
• GPA of 3.0 or Higher
• Letter of Recommendation from College on College Letterhead
